QC CLERK-2 nd -ALGONA PLANT

This position reports to the QC manager at the Algona Plant.

The hours for this position will be approximately 1345 - 2145, including overtime and weekends as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The person in this position:

• Ensures all Hormel and USDA sanitation requirements are met

• Conducts on-line product and packaging quality audits

• Conducts periodic label verification audits

• Conducts hourly weight control audits

• Conducts hourly metal detection audits

• Conducts post-sanitation pre-operative inspection

• Works closely with operations and management

• Has a thorough understanding of production processes to ensure product requirements are met

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated use of strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

• Demonstrated problem solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to work on your feet and tolerate working in a 40° environment.

Preferred

• Basic math and computer skills
