Position Title:Clerk- Payroll
Required Minimum Qualifications:• Any combination of clerical office experience, undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to one year of full-time employment.
Preferred Qualifications:Associate’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, or a relevant area with a minimum 1 of year experience in Payroll Administration in lieu of a degree,Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word or ExcelStrong customer service skills
Iowa State University is looking for an individual to join their Payroll department. Applicant must have customer service skills along with above average computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Need a person who is extremely detail oriented, has a high regard for confidentiality, someone who is a good team player and an individual that is looking to learn as they develop with the University.
This is a full-time position working 100% on campus with company benefits. Candidates with prior payroll experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for a friendly person that will work well in a small department, but will be our direct contact for employees in helping them with Payroll related questions. Employee inquiries may be in person, via phone or via email. We have semi-monthly and monthly payroll processes.
