Estimator- Full Time
Position: Full-time in Ames, Iowa, with occasional travel throughout the US.
Education: Experience or Experience and Education combined in the Construction or related field, with the willingness to continue professional growth through training and educational opportunities.

PMI Iowa in Ames is hiring an Experienced or Entry-Level Project Estimator for PMI Lift. The individual will be responsible for preparing bids and proposals, and estimating projects in the agri-business industry.

Develop project estimates and proposals as dictated by customer inquiries.
Develop, maintain and/or modify PMI’s Timberline estimating database, as required.
Import all estimates and job information to accounting. Complete all job file information, such as customer contact information, billing/invoicing and retainage information.
Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding all aspects of projects under development.
Review all contracts, subcontracts and execute accordingly.
Actively participate in meetings with willingness to share and accept ideas.
Travel to proposed project sites, as needed, to represent PMI. Gather information, such as dimensions, take pictures and assess pertinent site conditions.
Qualify subcontractors and vendors, execute/process all RFQs, POs, subcontracts and lien waivers, as necessary.
Acquire licensing and permits, as necessary.
Document all communications/correspondence with clients, suppliers and other business partners.
Network with other trade professionals to develop mutually-beneficial business relationships.
