The Iowa Department of Transportation’s Human Resources Bureau is expanding our Hiring Partner team! We’re looking to add a new team member with someone who enjoys supporting the recruitment and hiring process alongside our hiring managers to find the best candidates to make into Iowa DOT employees!

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and tracking hire process movement of all vacancies in your designated area(s)
Supporting and reviewing the creation of job postings, screening and interview questions, and scoring criteria
Managing candidate communication throughout the hire process
Supporting and collaborating with hiring managers to ensure timely and accurate hire processes
Reviewing and approving hire process documentation
The Hiring Partner team is a small but dedicated team focused on ensuring the hiring practices and processes are accurate, fair, and timely. Each team member of this team is designated specific areas and creates partnerships with those specific hiring managers to help aid and support them with their knowledge and expertise through our hiring process. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, quality, and integrity-driven environment and who has a passion for recruitment and hiring!

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree.
A combination of a total of four years of education and full-time experience in technical or professional human resources work, where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work equals one year of full-time experience.
Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes three years of full-time work performing technical human resources work.
