Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for reconditioning heat exchange plates. This involves several steps including removing old rubber gaskets, cleaning, testing, and reassembling the plates for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Recondition heat exchange plates

  • Remove old rubber gaskets by hand or using liquid nitrogen

  • Clean plates by power washing

  • Test plates for cracks or holes using black light and special material

  • Wash and dry plates

  • Glue new gaskets onto plates

  • Transfer plates into an oven to adhere gaskets

  • Cool plates and prepare for shipment

Essential Skills

  • 1 year of manufacturing or production experience

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Self-motivated

Work Environment

The job is situated in a manufacturing environment with an open warehouse setup. The team is laid-back, as long as production output is met. The environment is not climate controlled. This is a first shift opportunity, with working hours from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Candidates must be okay with working occasional Saturdays. The dress code requires steel-toed boots and jeans. Safety glasses and gloves are provided by the employer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
