Title: Product Manager, Floaters - 79542

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Manager for the Floater Business for John Deere located in Ankeny, IA, you will bring deep knowledge of the customer, market, business, and industry, gather first-hand feedback from customers and channel partners, and collaborate with internal stakeholders on product vision and definition for Des Moines produced floater product and its implements (Air Boom, Liquid Skid and Dry Spinner Spreader). In addition, you will:

  • Define, plan, and communicate product vision in alignment with Business goals through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Definition to include features, volumes, pricing, target markets, and product evolution for the floater product family, including its implements.

  • Partner with engineering to prioritize the value-creating features, validate the product can create that value to customers and to the business

  • Partner with Product Marketing to validate the product and product messaging with the market (field, dealers, customers) through customer advisor groups, customer focus groups, dealer advisor groups, and customer visits

What Skills You Need

  • 2 or more years of field experience with regular customer contact and broad product knowledge.

  • 2 or more years of experience in gathering input from multiple stakeholders and set priority for team

  • 1 or more years work experience with floaters or sprayers

  • 1 or more year of experience in business case & financial analysis development

  • Ability to collaborate effectively

  • Ability to decompose complex problems into actionable plans

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Strong business and customer knowledge (Production Systems and application job)

  • Product Management experience

  • Strong Dealer and Region knowledge

  • Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy, and style

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Agronomy, Marketing, or equivalent discipline
