Fleet Farm Regional Retail HR Manager in Ankeny, Iowa

Our Regional HR Manager is responsible for planning and executing HR activities within their assigned region. You will oversee 9-15 in-store HR Business Partners and collaborate with various other team members and leaders in the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment, on-boarding, orientation, time and attendance, and performance management processes.

  • Train, coach and develop direct reports and oversee/manage the training processes for all management trainees.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to the store management team on risk management, compliance and safety concerns.

  • Be a sounding board and objective party for the Regional Director, store management teams and the Store HR Business Partners when making people and business decisions.

  • Act as a change agent to assist with operational and cultural issues requiring behavioral change.

  • Be a Fleet Farm brand ambassador and trusted advisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field is preferred. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

  • 5-7 years of prior HR generalist or related experience. Retail and prior leadership experience preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all walks of life.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach and build relationships. Able to direct and motivate a diverse population.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.

Work Schedule

  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights and some weekends

  • This position travels approximately 75% of the time.
