Fleet Farm Regional Retail HR Manager in Ankeny, Iowa
Our Regional HR Manager is responsible for planning and executing HR activities within their assigned region. You will oversee 9-15 in-store HR Business Partners and collaborate with various other team members and leaders in the organization.
Oversee the recruitment, on-boarding, orientation, time and attendance, and performance management processes.
Train, coach and develop direct reports and oversee/manage the training processes for all management trainees.
Provide guidance and oversight to the store management team on risk management, compliance and safety concerns.
Be a sounding board and objective party for the Regional Director, store management teams and the Store HR Business Partners when making people and business decisions.
Act as a change agent to assist with operational and cultural issues requiring behavioral change.
Be a Fleet Farm brand ambassador and trusted advisor.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field is preferred. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
5-7 years of prior HR generalist or related experience. Retail and prior leadership experience preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate with all walks of life.
Proven ability to lead, coach and build relationships. Able to direct and motivate a diverse population.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights and some weekends
This position travels approximately 75% of the time.
