Atlantic Bottling Company FSOP Territory Sales Manager in Atlantic, Iowa

Overview/Function: The FSOP Senior TSM executes sales initiatives of On-Premise customers of Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company, with responsibility for maintaining customer relationships, developing new business, and growing existing sales.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Execute sales and promotional efforts within On-Premise accounts within assigned territory.

  • Responsibility for key accounts including, but not limited, to price management, A/R, rebate management & processing, contract compliance, oversight & compliance of large sponsorships, account by account implementation of ABCs and TCCCs annual business plans, and development and oversight of promotional calendar.

  • Positively influence and negotiate with stores and restaurants, negotiating promotions, agreements and extensions, exhibits, and sales activities.

  • Develop and conduct effective sales and promotional presentations and regular business reviews with Key Accounts.

  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key decision-makers for key accounts, and maintain regular and frequent visit and communication schedule.

  • Positively reflect Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company in their appearance, interactions, and decisions, upholding the companys mission and values.

  • Handle complaints and troubleshoot issues. Work with Service team on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs.

  • Regularly work with internal teams to achieve sales strategies and to resolve customer or delivery issues.

  • Provide applicable sales and sales activity reports. Prepare business reviews, cooler set recommendations, and sales presentations using Powerpoint/Excel.

  • Assist and help support large special events.

  • Communicate National and local promotional activity to the sales team via regularly scheduled sales meetings and the direct oversight of the FSOP Territory Sales Manager(s) responsible for managing the accounts in their territory.

  • Train, coach, and nurture TSM staff to ensure Atlantic Bottling Company is recognized throughout the region as the best DSD beverage provider.

  • Utilize weekly Call Reports as a coaching / training tool and as means to monitor TSM activity.

  • Establish and oversee the TSM work schedule and responsibilities.

  • Schedule regular TSM coaching and sales calls for a minimum of twice per month per TSM.

  • Develop and maintain asset management policies to ensure all assets retain their value and are properly utilized.

  • Other related duties as required and assigned.

    Experience & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with at 3-5 years of sales or store merchandising experience. Bachelors degree is preferred but not required.

  • Customer-focused with the ability to positively and effectively interact with customers is essential.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to set priorities, and meet timetables leading to the attainment of goals.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Outstanding presentation, selling and negotiating skills.

  • Strong problem resolution and analytical thinking skills. Ability to analyze and effectively solve complex problems.

  • Excellent team-player with the ability to effectively interact with multiple departments (i.e. service technician team, delivery).

  • Ability to make frequent visits to multiple customer sites each day.

  • Reliable vehicle transportation with a good driving record, and valid driver's license and insurance. (Vehicle reimbursement is available.)

  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.

  • Good computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Consistent, regular attendance is an essential job function.


  • The role will travel to various customer sites, as a result each environment will vary.

  • This position requires regular standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climb stairs. The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move items over 55 lbs. Some manual finger, hand, and arm dexterity, and potentially work around cramped and tight spaces will be needed.

  • Extensive day travel is required with this role (up to 75% of the time) to customer sites.

  • The typical workday will be Monday-Friday during the day, however due to retail environments, some evening and weekend work may be required.

  • This role is considered a safety sensitive position.
