Job Title: Material Handler (Shipping/Receiving)Our client in Ames, Iowa is looking for a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our Warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and shipment of agricultural-related products, as well as receiving and stocking warehouse inventory and merchandise.

What's in it for you?

• Pay Range: $20.00-$22.00 hourly

• 1st Shift

• Experience: General knowledge of warehouse operations preferred. Previous LTL or small package/parcel shipping experience preferred. Six months of forklift experience preferred (minimum is the ability and desire to learn).

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with personal computers and tablets, including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Samsung tablets.

• Mathematical & Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.

• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.

• Other Skills: Ability to work efficiently and accurately at a fast pace. Strong hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity. Willingness to learn new tasks and skills. Ability to multitask while maintaining high attention to detail. Analytical and problem-solving ability. Must be able to lift 25 lbs or more.

What will you be doing?

Utilize written pick-lists to prepare and package shipments, including pulling inventory from warehouse shelving, racking, or outdoor stock lot.

• Prepare shipping documents per the details on the pick list, as well as create shipping labels and/or load manifests.

• Prepare shipment quotations and estimates.

• Receive shipments from vendors and suppliers and document incoming products.

• Assist and work closely with the branch Inventory Support Associate to process incoming shipments, including boxing, wrapping, or bagging parts, and/or stocking parts onto shelving and racking.

• Assist Inventory Support Associate with inventory audits and cycle counts.

• Re-box/re-crate products as needed.

• Refurbish damaged or aged products when possible (report non-compliant products).

• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and orderly work environment.

• Assist with ordering/restocking packaging and departmental materials/supplies.

• Assist the Assembly Department if daily duties are completed (when directed by the Branch Manager).

• Perform additional related duties as requested or required.
