Education:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Ability to read and interpret labels on cleaning products for appropriate use and storage

  • Ability to work independently

  • Well-developed hand/eye coordination

  • Must be able to lift to 80 pounds

  • Must be able to stand and walk for 8+ hours straight

  • Ability to endure working conditions inclusive of hot, cold, odors, dirty, dusty, and noisy

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Physical Demands:

Job Overview:

Sanitation – Office will be responsible for maintaining general cleanliness of the Marketing Center, Accounting Department, Executive offices and Distribution offices.

Expectations:

  • Effectively and efficiently clean the Marketing Center, Accounting Department, Executive offices and Distribution offices.

  • Maintain security at the Marketing Center by making sure all blinds are up/open and doors are locked.

  • Assist in setting up/tearing down and cleaning up meeting rooms as requested (check schedule with receptionist).

Job Duties:

  • Clean office areas, hallways, lobby, elevators, and stairways daily.

  • Clean breakrooms and kitchen areas daily.

  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms daily.

  • Check the fryer in the kitchen at the Marketing Center (lower level) and the coffee pots (breakrooms and kitchens) to make sure they are all turned off.

  • Wipe down sinks at Marketing Center (lower level kitchen) daily.

  • Empty wastebaskets and recycling and dispose of properly.

  • Sweet and mop hard surface floors daily.

  • Vacuum carpets and mats daily.

  • Dust office areas weekly.

  • Wipe and disinfect meeting room tables daily.

  • Order supplies as needed for restocking through the appropriate Inventory staff.

  • Wash walls as needed (around switch plates and high traffic areas).

  • Wash and wipe windows in front entry/lobby areas daily.

  • Coordinate carpet cleaning with the Support Staff Manager as needed.

  • Empty cigarette containers located at the front/rear entrances as needed.

  • Monthly deep cleaning of the Marketing Center kitchen is required. Block out a time with the receptionist to do this. This includes cleaning the fryer, refrigerator, etc.

  • Wax upstairs conference table as needed.

  • Communicate with Supervisor of any problems or areas of concern.

  • Provide security for Martin Bros. property.

  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.

  • Follow all safety rules and requirements of warehouse.

  • Interact and cooperate with all Martin Bros. personnel respectfully.

  • Suggest positive changes for the department and Martin Bros.

  • Read and follow company policy.
