Role Summary

The Vice President of Engineering will provide technical and engineering leadership to Viking Pump. As a member of the executive Senior Leadership Team, this position will guide the company’s technical strategy specific to product evolution and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

  • Build, lead and mentor a global high performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations and company policies.

  • Understand and apply 80/20 concepts to create focus and alignment.

  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance product development and manufacturing process.

  • Collaborate across the organization to ensure integration of engineering solutions.

  • Develop and maintain global new product development processes, systems and management cadence.

  • Connect technical strategies and resources across the company to drive impact.

  • Facilitate a culture of engagement, talent development and servant leadership.

  • Lead product roadmap initiatives and participate in technical design.

  • Serve as a technical expert for new product development and product changes.

  • Develop overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence.

  • Evaluate and enhance engineering and technological performance.

  • Interact with customers and internal stakeholders to determine needs and goals.

  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.

  • Effectively lead change within the team and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 15 years of engineering experience with at least 8 years in a leadership role.

  • Global business experience preferred.

  • Successful track record of Engineering Leadership experience in industrial manufacturing.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to successfully execute the responsibilities.
