Collins Aerospace is currently seeking qualified new graduate candidates in our Air Transport Displays and Platform Systems team located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This organization is cognizant for our Air Transport aftermarket display projects. This specific role is for a Software Engineer with the primary responsibility of developing requirements, product software, test cases, and test software for Air Transport platforms.
Begin to acquire product domain knowledge
Plan, analyze, design, test and document software of limited complexity generally in one functional area under guidance of more senior engineer
Begin to understand and utilize internal processes and tools for the development of software
Perform software requirements, design, code, test, integration and documentation.
Review software test procedures to ensure software requirements testing is complete.
Perform verification activities such as code inspections and software structural coverage analysis.
Ensure the project’s defined software process for development, verification and configuration management is followed and that they comply with the recommendations of RTCA DO‑178B/C.
Individual job duties may vary.
Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Experience with C, C++, Python
Experience with Real Time Operating Systems
Defense or Aerospace industry experience is preferred.
Experience with Matlab and Simulink
Experience on an Agile Software development team
