JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for meeting the property tax needs of CBRE's clients assigned including property tax appeals and property tax estimates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in managing the property tax appeal/due diligence calendar for all counties within the Coordinator’s responsibility.

Help to ensure all appeal petitions are filed accurately, completely, and timely.

Communicate with the property tax authorities to ensure client’s rights are protected.

Help to ensure all client renewals are sent timely and returned timely and follow up as necessary.

Regularly monitor county communication and directives as it relates to property tax and appeal requirements.

Help to ensure when a billable event occurs, an invoice support is complete and accurate, and the invoice is processed transmitted timely.

Work with the Director and Managing Director to ensure processes are primarily electronic and efficient.

Acts as the primary client interface for day to day operations

Communicate with taxing authorities related to appeals. Attend property tax valuations hearings as appropriate.

Properly communicate with the client regarding appeal recommendations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preference – individual has worked in property tax industry in an administrative function.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree preferred in business, accounting, finance or related field. 4-6 years of client facing property tax assessment and overall knowledge of property valuation procedures and related regulations.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

As required by state licensing body.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

*Colorado Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Business Services Coordinator, Property Tax position is $50,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Business Services Coordinator, Property Tax position is $60,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
