Raytheon Technologies Contracts Manager in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

We are seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join the team in Mission Systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the drafting, generation, interpretation and management of global and highly complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer and supplier schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.

  • Leads analysis and preparation of reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.

  • Coaches and mentors junior professionals and reviews their work to ensure output is of quality and in accordance with business objectives.

  • Advises the organization on issues concerning contract matters.

  • Assists leadership on training employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to contract law related to the business.

  • Manages multiple small- to medium-sized projects.

  • Advises and represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.

  • Negotiates and executes contracts.

  • Provides legal advice on warranty and contract administration.

  • Prepares legal documentation for legal and contract negotiations and relationships.

  • Maintains historical legal records.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • •Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Supply Chain contracting

  • Juris Doctorate degree

  • •Experience in Government contracting
