Transamerica is seeking a Director of Finance for the Workplace Solutions business. Reporting to the VP, Senior Director of Finance of Workplace Solutions. You will provide leadership and strategic direction for the oversight and management of expense reporting and analysis to the organization.

As the Director of Finance you will provide financial expertise and functional oversight within the Workplace Solutions division in a leadership capacity. You will support strategic objectives through partnership with business, technology and project teams to ensure financial elements of strategic initiatives are financially sound for Workplace Solutions. In addition as the Director of Finance you will align focus, effort and objectives to the overall organizational strategy and applies those strategies to team and individual activities.

What You Will Do:

  • Participate in budget planning and overall expense management for Workplace Solutions.

  • Direct major change initiatives, including clear communication of expectations and timeframes; ensure quality of work and delivery within timelines/budget.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the division and with corporate functions.

  • Analyze cost benefit analysis to support business recommendations; provide financial insight on cost measures and overall profitability metrics.

  • Research and collaborate with stakeholders to uncover factors that may impact business solutions

  • Develop management reporting and executive summaries over progress on strategic initiatives, including gap analysis of forecast relative to plan

  • May be involved in challenging spend requests to support smart spending towards execution of business priorities

  • Provide opportunities for knowledge transfer through training and development of others.

  • May serve as a point person for ad hoc requests from other departments.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience

  • 12 years of accounting/finance experience including eight years of management experience

  • Extensive knowledge of assigned business area (e.g. investments, premiums, corporate finance)

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, to diverse audiences

  • Organizational and prioritization skills

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems

  • Preferred: CPA/advanced degree

The salary for this position generally ranges between $145,000-$180,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 30%
