Position Description

What makes an outstanding, Director, Sales Engineering?

As the Director, Sales Engineering, you will ultimately be responsible for managing a team of Solution Architects and Solution Engineers who support the sales team during the engagement; work with customers to determine business, functional, and technical requirements develop solutions to meet those requirements, then engage with Fiserv delivery teams to ensure successful service delivery.

As a Director, Sales Engineering, you will:

  • Have overall responsibility for managing the Solutions Consulting and Design team.

  • You will be responsible for managing, promoting, and defining the strategy of the Fiserv standards and proposals.

  • You will provide technical thought leadership for customers.

  • We need you to support the Portfolio Management team in developing and maturing the product portfolio.

  • You will also challenge the Solutions Design team to develop innovative solutions leveraging new technologies.

  • We want you to ensure that solutions proposed will be delivered timely and profitably.

  • Having an understanding of the competitive landscape and craft offering strategies is key to the success of this role.

  • You will also support Engagement Management, Service Delivery Management, and Implementations/Operations in delivering an outstanding and seamless customer experience.

  • Ensuring that solution design standards are followed and your team obtains required approvals is also elements for success.

Qualifications for consideration :

  • 10 + years in progressively responsible positions including solution development/system design.

  • 5 + years in employee supervision roles including experience interacting directly with customer executive and technical staff.

  • 3 + years developing solutions documents, presentations, pricing models, statements of work.

  • 3 + years managing projects or strategic initiatives with a project management methodology.

  • Demonstrated experience in requirements and gap analysis

  • Proven ability to determine and capture functional, technical, and business requirements.

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry

  • Ability to travel 50%

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • ITIL v3 Foundations certification and or PMP

  • Prior knowledge of Fiserv and our products
