UnityPoint Health Donor Relations Assistant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Provide administrative support in organizing our development efforts as St. Luke’s Foundation aims to grow the level of involvement and philanthropic support from donors and prospects. Responsible for providing administrative support to the external team which includes drafting correspondence, data entry, scheduling donor, prospect and advisor presentations, meeting preparation and stewardship activities. Prepares reports, collateral and materials for external team members to present and utilize in meetings. Provides support for campaigns and special projects.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to external team. Schedules donor, prospect and employee recognition (Guardian Angel), employee giving presentations, meeting preparation and management, special events, and stewardship activities.

  • In coordination with the staff, maintains the integrity of donor database records. This includes ensuring that established protocols for entering, maintaining and changing information are followed across the department.

  • Provides support for production of mailing lists to include merging invitations and letters. Works with staff to coordinate mailings and distribution.

  • Assist with special projects, as needed and as assigned.

Data Maintenance

  • Maintain accurate and meaningful records of prospect and current donors of St. Luke’s Foundation via Customer Relationship Management system.

  • Associate degree or higher.

  • Minimum of three-years of experience in administrative support, project management and nonprofit administration and/or fundraising preferred.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to create, present and execute independently on unique solutions.

  • Strong communication and listening skills.

  • Empathetic and compassionate verbal skills.
