Aerotek Machine Operator in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions using good judgement

  • Operating mechanized equipment

  • Sampling and testing products

  • Loading and unloading railcars and bags

  • Maintaining inventory

  • Maintain housekeeping requirements including sweeping, vacuuming, hosing down work areas

  • Minor component change out items such as light bulb changing, screens, nozzles, and gauge replacements

  • Equipment inspections such as belts, leaks, loose fittings; tightening of nuts and bolts, field calibration such as pH meters

  • Changing of dust collector socks and filters, routine lubrication such as adding oil and grease

  • Inspection of levels and making adjustments to equipment as necessary


  • 6+ months maintenance experience or 6 + months machine operating experience


12 hour shifts



10 days on, 5 days off. May be rotating, need to be open to both shifts if needed.
