The Collins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the manufacturing test solutions in support of the $5B Avionics strategic business unit as well as external customers including armed services and airlines both domestic and international. The organization is looking for a motivated individual to lead the CORE, EPAs (Engineering Project Assistant), and Process team which consists of approximately 15 Engineering Project Assistants, Process Experts, and CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) Facilitators. As a key member of the leadership team, the Manager of the CORE, EPAs, and Process Team ensures they have a high-performing team in place to support the process and development of engineering solutions developed at multiple locations across the United States.

This is a multi-faceted role requiring versatility across a variety of tasks in a highly collaborative environment. The role requires working closely with engineers and leaders, at various locations around the globe, to ensure project success. Organizationally, the role reports to the Department Manager of Central Functions as part of Avionics Test Engineering.

Continually ensuring a strong linkage between compensation and performance.
Aligning the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the team with project needs and adjusting the team size and composition accordingly.
Ensuring compliance to development processes and standard work requirements while tirelessly seeking continuous process improvement.
Supporting the technical execution of numerous projects.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
Ability to travel occasionally to multiple locations across the United States in support of both the team and the organization is required.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

Previous people leadership experience is required, ideally including leading remote/virtual teams.

Mastery in facilitating CORE events and peer reviews, developing new processes, working with procurement, and organizing information repositories.
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
