Raytheon Technologies Manager, Learning & Development (Remote) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

The Manager of Learning & Development is responsible for the leadership of a geographically diverse group of professional staff committed to ensuring employees have the skills and capabilities they need to succeed in their roles and satisfy customer expectations. The position is responsible for employee training, training compliance, curriculum development and standardization, within the Mission Systems Quality organization.

The ideal candidate must be willing to learn and leverage the learning management systems and be able to shift between tactical responses to issues and opportunities as they arise, but also plan for the evolution of training, learning, and knowledge management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of geographically diverse Learning and Knowledge Management professionals

  • Responsible for aligning the training programs, curricula, and learning management systems within the Mission Systems Quality organization

  • Enable compliance to training requirements across the organization

  • Understand and be able to work within Workday Learning and other LMS tools

  • Project Management

  • Change Management

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

  • Technical STEM degree

  • Prior leadership experience

  • Experience with learning management systems

  • Operations and manufacturing experiences

  • Experience and knowledge of training and training compliance tied to AS9100

  • Continuous improvement, development, and learning mindset
