Manages inventory, develops target quantities, and minimizes total inventory expense while meeting required finished part service goals. Replenishment and floor stocking programs with suppliers and support the Procurement Managers in their supplier optimization, quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives.Essential Job Functions: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Execute MRP for materials and issue purchase orders to ensure material availability for OperationsOrders Ingredient and packaging materials for Co-packersReviews production schedules needs against inventory levels and storage capacity in order to plan inbound bulk materials to meet operational needsExpedites with suppliers or explore alternative solutions to mitigate any know material shortagesCommunicates any known or potential material shortages delays or issues, while also working to develop solutions with suppliers and internal resources.Maintains files such as inbound receiving records and delivery performance reporting in order to identify trends and seek opportunities for improvement in overall serviceRecords complaints and takes action to resolve, as needed, should quality or delivery failures occurRequests credits, and disposition of ingredients and packaging materials the QA puts on hold.Manages transition of components related to reformulations, redesigns, new product introductions, and item discontinuation. Manage material and packaging liabilities through Network optimization to reduce risk of DDD.Interacts with RandD, Procurement, Scheduling, Sales Planning, Suppliers, and Category Planners to plan and execute smooth transition plans, look for continuous improvement processes involving ingredient/packaging consolidation and alignment within Treehouse Network.Maintains target inventory levels by monitoring inventory levels and appropriately recommends cost-reducing inventory actions to managementSupport Corporate Procurement Managers in the implementation of any Divisional or Plant Cost Savings initiativesReview and assist to resolve invoicing discrepancies in SAP via either MRBR or VIMMonitor ingredient/packaging materials for liability related to expiration/discontinuation of items to limit DDD.Preforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Required: High School with 2 to 6 years' experience, or Associate's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, or related degree; Bachelor's Degree preferredCompetency in English language (read, write, speak); excellent written, oral, and listening skills.Strong computer skills including knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office and SAP/ERP experience.Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to make decisions with imperfect information, coupled with the ability to develop and adhere to strong processesSelf-starter with flexibility to meet challenging prioritiesPossess a positive and proactive approach to problems and opportunities.Good verbal and written communication and presentations skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to various levels of the organizationThe specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all-inclusive.
