Description

Are you ready to join a leading team in the banking industry? Our Cedar Rapids area client has an Operations Processor position with their team that could be exactly what you have been looking for!

This position will fulfill critical tasks within the Operations area including processing wire requests, reconciling accounts and assisting with other internal department requests while work directly with the Operations supervisor. Though not directly working with clients, customer service is vital to this position as our “clients” are other bank staff members. This position works closely with other team members but a good portion of the daily tasks assigned will be handled individually.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receiving internal and external wire transfer requests and completion of Wire Transfer Request Form when necessary.

  • Verification that all information on wire transfers being processed through the department is accurate.

  • Perform and/or document “callback” verifications when required on outgoing wires.

  • Process appropriate entries on incoming and outgoing wires in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Understand overdraft decision making to determine which overdraft checks to pay and which to return according to Bank guidelines.

  • Help prepare all lockbox contents .

  • Prepare all demand deposit and general ledger recons that are assigned to you on a Daily, weekly and monthly basis.

  • Chargebacks/ ATM Adjustments

  • Adjustments to customers’ accounts.

Requirements

  • Two years of banking experience in Operations or related area preferred.

  • Associates Degree in Business/Finance or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education is preferred

  • Strong computer skills required (Excel, Word, Internet Explorer)

  • Knowledge of balancing procedures.

  • Ability to work both independently to complete assigned tasks and duties as well as a team to complete department functions daily

  • 10-key experience preferred

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
