We are in search of a Payroll Administrator to join our team in CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. The role involves processing payroll, monitoring accounts, and maintaining accurate records. This position is within the mechanical contractors industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process high volume (over 500 employes) weekly payroll for multiple groups.

• Track time submissions and identify any missing entries.

• Handle state reporting, 401k contributions, and processing of garnishments.

• Perform certified payroll reporting and process layoffs according to union deadlines.

• Manage HSA and 401k details using basic Excel.

• Prepare and process bonuses on a quarterly and yearly basis.

• Handle multi-state payroll, focusing on state tax.

• Utilize various accounting software systems such as Viewpoint Vista.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with Ceridian

• Ability to work with Crystal Reports

• Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration

• Experience with About Time software

• Familiarity with basic Accounting Functions

• Auditing skills

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions

• Experience with Viewpoint Vista software
