Pharma Account Manager II

Job Summary: A Pharma Account Manager’s main role is to work closely with each Cold Chain customer to enhance and provide a positive experience while maximizing freight opportunities that contribute to account growth and ensures driver success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the technology and process that allows for the safe transport of temperature-sensitive freight

  • Coordinate all aspects of customer freight – understanding shipping needs and service expectations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new CRST customers

  • Successful on-boarding of new customers

  • Commitment management with for each customer

  • Monitor shipments for successful on-time performance and pro-active communication

  • Scorecard tracking and reconciliation

  • Identify negative trends and provide solutions to reduce or eliminate the negative impact

  • Consistent communication with the customer to solicitate appropriate freight opportunities

  • Understand customer shipping needs, including quoting and negotiating spot rates where possible

  • Be involved with weekly / monthly / quarterly reviews with each assigned customer


  • Communicates effectively – speaks with impact, listens and writes effectively

  • Experience in delivering customer-focused solutions based on customer needs

    Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a related field required

  • High school diploma or GED required, a degree in a related field preferred
