WABTEC Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management Administrator in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
The Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) Administrator (RCA) will beresponsible for both technical and operational support of the Rational CLM set of tools that support requirements management; change/configuration management and test management for the Wabtec Railway Electronics group. These teams have offices in:
Cedar Rapids, IA
The RCA will be responsible for supporting any remaining implementation efforts and on-going support of the CLM tools and overall environment that supports these locations, in cooperation with local admin/point of contacts at each site. TheRCA will collaborate across Wabtec systems, safety and software engineering teams to establish and maintain industry standard processes that maximize productivity and deliver coordinated, high quality production releases. The RCA will recommend and implement continuous process improvements. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and excellent communication skills with the ability to influence change.
The Rational CLM Administrator is responsible for the daily operations and management of the CLM tools, environment and processes implemented to support all train control projects. This includes;
Supporting the implementation of CLM tools in locations where additional features of the CLM suite need to be rolled out.
Support the definition and documentation of processes needed to ensure successful daily operations within the Engineering group.
Customization and Integration with 3rdparty tool sets currently used in each location, including development/test/implementation of scripts for importing data into the database.
Upgrades to the server environment or Rational toolset.
Set up projects in CLM that use different SDLC methodologies, such as agile, iterative or waterfall.
Configure the Rational tool for generating ad hoc and standard reports and queries in DNG, RTC and RQM. Create reporting solutions using queries, dashboards, Jazz Reporting Server and Rational Publishing Engine
Enhance tool adoption by creating training materials and providing hands-on training to project teams; working with stakeholders to create custom solutions to manage their software development life cycle with Rational CLM.
Support multiple sites in all areas of operation.
Identifying and raising product related defects and coordinating with IBM and support vendors to get resolution.
Off hours system maintenance, as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 5 years related progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
Must have administrator-level experience with the Rational Collaborative Life Management software - while demonstrating the following:
Implementing, modifying, and customizing Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management
Strategic planning and architecting solutions for leveraging new Rational CLM capabilities
Training and supporting the users on Rational CLM tools
Performing tool maintenance, working with other Wabtec CLM support team members, and license management
Performing test automation using Rational Functional Tester using keyword and descriptive frameworks
Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, detail oriented, with strong organization and time management skills.
Experience with IBM Rational Collaboration life cycle management suite. Must include Doors Next Generation (DNG), Rational Team Concert (RTC) and Rational Quality Manager.
Thorough understanding of Rational CLM tools configuration, customization (i.e. workflow/scrum), maintenance, support and training.
Implementation experience of UI customization, test/batch/update/import (i.e. API) scripts, work item/scrum customization.
Implementation experience with RTC Eclipse Plugins development and deployment.
Experience in requirements management, defects management, source code management, defect management and metrics/reporting.
Experienced in extending the IBM Rational Jazz Platform to meet client requirements and/or provide integrations to 3rd Party tools.
