KZIA INC Sales Consultant in CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa

Sell, promote and represent KZIA-FM Z102.9 and KGM-AM 1600ESPN with current and prospective clients: including all aspects of the sales process: cold-calling, account maintenance, customer service, idea generation, scheduling and collections. Set and achieve personal sales volume goals, to complement and work toward sales department and station goals: directing those activities within the company mission statement, company strategy, company guidelines and supervisor's direction. Work hours are primarily during the business week day, but weekend and/or evening client, networking and station events will be required. In-person, phone and written communication skills, business knowledge and a desire for continuous improvement are important determinations for success in this position. The successful candidate will be required to sign a non-compete agreement. Proof of insurability required.Experience Preferred: Typing speed of 25 words per minute or greater, net zero error. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with computers and using computer software including Word or WordPerfect. College degree or equivalent experience. Self-directed planning skills are required. Ability to seek and prospect potential advertisers through effective and efficient planning. Knowledge of business practices and advertising principles is preferred. Familiarity with Linn and Johnson county.
