Raytheon Technologies Senior Business Development Manager - Multi-Domain Battlespace Solutions (Remote Option) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
This position manages a team of intermediate or experienced Sales Business Development professionals. Leads sales business development activities and ensures operational plans and objectives are met. Responsible for making significant improvements to processes and standards in order to enhance performance of the sales business development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US Department of Defense (DoD) and military services warfighting CONOPS specific to Joint All Domain Command and Control and integrated mission requirements. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the US DoD program requirements, Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes, and be comfortable interacting with DoD subject matter experts in all areas of the acquisition process.
The successful candidate will lead a small (4-5) group of BD professionals tasked with growing the Multi-Domain Battlespace Solutions (MDBS) business for Collins Aerospace.
Champion Pursuit Order Capture Process: This leader will be responsible for the growth and performance of the team and should have the ability to assist the team in all aspects of Pursuit and Order Capture including, but not limited to Price to Win, Call / Contact Plan Development and Execution, and Color Team Reviews.
Strategic Leadership: The successful candidate will be responsible to develop a comprehensive multi-domain strategy focusing on solving customers problem statements in joint-domains and highlighting the Collins strengths in both products and integration.
Tactical Leadership: Responsible for growing orders base and creating / growing backlog. Provide leadership to program and product managers to meet key development and delivery objectives while maximizing customer satisfaction.
The leader will have regular interaction with senior level Collins management (VP, Directors, etc) and must be comfortable / versed with developing and delivering senior level presentations.
Ensure the establishment and development of professional relationships with strategic prospects with the purpose of understanding and meeting the customer needs within the bounds of contracted scope.
Develop and maintain customer insight for early identification and shaping of customer requirements and for influencing our internal investment and strategies.
Analyzes bid opportunities, prepares final bid responses with team, negotiates with potential customers and maintains customer relationships to win projects.
Creates and presents new business proposals for prospects, negotiates value, and addresses resistance in order to develop business.
Supports the management team representative on prospective target accounts. Develop and maintain personal long-term customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities while expanding value Collins can provide.
"Hunts" new deals and customers to generate leads for new customers.
Designs and executes marketing and sales strategies, policies, and programs for company products.
Prospects, develops, and expands business, responds to proposal requests from customers and develops proposals for presentation to customers.
Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience
Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.
In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense SECRET Security Clearance is required; having a current SECRET or above security clearance is highly desired
