Raytheon Technologies Senior Manager Business Development, Sustainment Services in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

The Sustainment Services Business Development Manager will work with our key customers to develop and establish the long-term sustainment and support programs necessary for their current and future success. Sustainment Services will be a significant catalyst for new business growth. Our focus is to support the customer after they purchase our products for their platforms.

This position can be worked remotely, from anywhere in the domestic U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with, and across, all Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to identify long-term sustainment revenue opportunities for our products

  • Assist in development of sustainment strategies (Beyond Break Fix) that include a combination of field service support, public/private partnerships (PPP), managed repair programs, managed product obsolescence, and performance-based logistics (PBL) programs, etc

  • Assist SBUs in the establishment of long-term sustainment contracts with their customers

  • Work with customers to understand short- and long-term sustainment challenges and develop solutions that are tailored to their needs

  • Exhibit the leadership and communication skills to deliver a product that meets customer expectations

  • Build strong and extensive working relationships internally and externally

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be willing to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to lead cross functional or multi-domain teams

  • Understanding of the industry and customers and of DoD Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) process.

  • Prior experience with government contracting, specifically operating and negotiating FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 contracts

  • Prior experience with strategy development and negotiation, with a firm grasp of program financial/schedule performance, to ensure establishment of programs that are worth winning and can be successfully executed by BUs

  • Proven ability to demonstrate skill in customer relationship development and customer problem solving

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communications skills are required along with the ability to establish effective communication and working relationships with all levels and functions of customer organizations, as well as within Collins Aerospace
