What You Will Do:Make sense of it all – in this position, you will review financial performance data from our Life & Health and Accumulation & Retirement product lines. You will take that data and build the narrative that explains Transamerica’s financial performance for the quarter. Your audience will include not only to senior leadership here in the US, but also to the parent company in The Hague. You will be the point of contact for questions regarding the financial data.

What You Will Learn: In this role you will gain insight about Transamerica’s products and financial performance. You will build relationships with key leaders in all areas of finance and set direction when it comes to presenting our financial data.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Deliver quarterly reports to senior leadership regarding quarterly and annual financial performance

  • Review Key financial metrics and create a narrative for those metrics for presentation

  • Analyze and understand the reporting of Life & Health and A&R products

  • Prepare written analyses of issues to enhance the understanding of senior management

  • Translate technical financial terms to language suitable for various audiences

  • Responsible for reporting metrics related to incentive compensation

  • Direct/review preparation of applicable financial analysis

  • Responsible for reporting & analysis of sensitivities on an quarterly basis

  • Oversee and direct the development of financial reports and complex models for forecasting, trending and results analysis

  • Recommend and lead implementation of changes to processes to achieve efficiencies

  • Oversee the management staff providing hiring, direction, counseling and training of staff. Effectively communicate goals based on objectives and assist staff in setting goals and performance measures

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with degree and 5 years demonstrated supervisory/management experience

  • Previous experience in Insurance or Big 4 accounting and a CPA is highly desirable

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, to all audiences
