What YOU will do:

  • You will serve as the engineering project leader for programs developing Avionics products, ensuring coordination of hardware, software, and firmware to meet program commitments.

  • You will provide project management and technical direction throughout all phases of the program, including pursuit, bidding, planning, execution, and sustainment.

  • You will uphold the consistency with Collins Aerospace's technical engineering processes and ensure compliance with program and product requirements.

  • You will lead a diverse team of engineers ranging from entry-level to highly experienced, guiding them in developing processing platforms and associated technologies.

  • You will maintain awareness of key technologies and the company's competitive position, and support the development and transition of products into a manufacturing environment.

  • You will implement cost reduction strategies to maximize DTC+ impacts on products.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Proven leadership experience in developing ruggedized avionics products.

  • Experience managing technical projects including schedule and earned value management, risk management, customer interaction, and briefing executive leadership

  • Experience with Avionics regulatory and certification requirements including TSO, MIL-STD, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C, DO-297, APR4754A.

  • Proven record of meeting objectives and commitments

  • Possess a collaborative way of working.

    Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
