Role Overview:

Experienced Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer with several years of experience working with electronic systems for military contractors and supporting products designed for the military. This engineer will be responsible for providing R&M support to new development programs, including reliability and maintainability predictions and analyses, testability analyses, maintainability demonstrations, and highly accelerated stress testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Senior level experience and knowledge of aerospace Reliability and Maintainability analysis.

  • Prior knowledge and experience with a majority of the following tasks:

    R&M Program Plan Reliability Predictions following MIL-HDBK-217 and/or 217PLUS reliability prediction standards. Failure Modes and Effects (FMEA) / Criticality Analysis (CA) Planning and conducting reliability testing, including Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT), Reliability Enhancement Test (RET), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) or Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS). Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), including root cause analysis Maintainability analysis and predictions Built-In Test (BIT) design/verification analysis BIT / Maintainability Demonstration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • . Senior level experience and knowledge of Reliability and Maintainability analysis.

  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel, is highly desirable.

  • Basic circuit analysis knowledge, and the ability to perform detailed analyses on complex systems.

  • Working knowledge of aircraft or electronic systems is highly desired.

  • Ability to perform detailed analyses on complex systems

  • Effective oral/written communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal and team skills

  • Knowledge on how to coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules.

  • This position requires an individual that can perform with a great deal of independence . As such the candidate must have effective time management skills and be highly motivated and a self-starter.

  • A background in avionics maintenance, BIT design and verification experience, performing organizational level testability analyses, and the ability to develop diagnostics at the system level is a plus.

  • Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defence (DoD) security clearance. US Citizen is required.
