Job Summary

Are you ready to apply your skills and experience working on systems and products that support our war-fighters and help protect our nation? Then consider becoming part of the growing Government Systems Communication Products Organization. As a Senior Systems Engineer on the Advanced Data Links Team, you will be part of a multi-functional team comprised of Systems and Hardware engineers leading development of our space communications products supporting our military and their partners.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or Science field

• Familiarity with systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production.

• Knowledge of RF propagation, testing, test equipment

• ​​Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

• ​Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong Preference for current DoD Secret Clearance.

• Familiarity with comm engineering architectures (e.g: general radio transceiver architectures/designs, basic radio functional component blocks, performance specifications and test methodologies)

• Strong communication skills, experience presenting technical data

• Experience with Python scripting, test automation

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
