Senior Systems Engineer - Product Owner (Onsite)

The Multi-Domain Battlespace Solutions Engineering (MDBSe) team is looking for a dynamic Senior Engineer with deep knowledge and highly technical expertise to primarily lead our platform systems team on our Strategic Program. The Senior Engineer position is a team leader that develops product development plans and budgets, performs critical analyses, drives cost and schedule performance, maximizes project profitability, and controls project execution and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate projects with cross-functional Engineering teams, including technical aspects as well as team-level cost and schedule

  • Lead and coordinate the development of technical proposals as well as team level cost estimates during the bid and proposal cycle

  • Use portfolio vision to think beyond the immediate situation, explore multiple potential paths, and adapt decision-making style and thought process based on the situational circumstances.

  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Estimating, tracking, and communicating cost, schedule, and risk in support of program earned value metrics.

  • Use personal experience and best practices to identify issues, potential problems, and risk

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work well with others in a professional team environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to represent company for system engineering at internal and external customer meetings

  • Familiarity with military concepts of operations

  • Strong leadership skills as demonstrated with interpersonal interaction, individual mentoring to develop the team composition, and training.

  • Experience pursuing high complexity program engineering change proposals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
