Job Summary

Rockwell Collins is seeking for software engineer interns with a passion in aviation to work on a project involving integrating the Rockwell Collins avionics suite with a popular commercial off the shelf flight simulator.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work as a team to investigate the interfaces and develop the architecture of the component used to communicate between the flight simulator and the avionics- Participate in weekly status meetings - Design, code, integrate, regression test, test and document software

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of one of the following software languages: Java, Python, C/C++, .net

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some knowledge of flight simulators and avionic components

  • Use of the plane builder knowledge of one of the following flight simulators XPlane, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Prepar3d, or Flight Gear
