Position: Shipping Clerk

Reports To: Supervisors

Days / Hours of work: 7:00M -3:30PM (Monday - Friday)

Compensation: Hourly - $17.00

• General Position Overview:

  This position is primarily responsible for the daily activities of the shipping and receiving office and it interacts with all staff members and will be required to float between the different activities in the shipping office as customer activity and the needs of the company dictate.

  General Accountabilities include:

• Customer Service for Facility Customers

• Schedule Inbound/Outbound Delivery Appointments

• Manage Paperwork Flow b/t Shipping & Receiving Office and Warehouse

• Check-in driver & Direct them to a Door for Unloading/Loading

• Answering the Office Phone on a regular Basis

• Mediate to Resolve Driver Problems with Loads

• Accurately Process Paperwork in the Computer System

• Communicate Effectively

• Office Sanitation & Organization

• Filing

• Problem Resolution

• Other duties as assigned by management

  Skills Required:

• Good Problem Solving & Decision Making Skills

• Positive Attitude

• Basic Math & Reading Skills

• Ability to Read/Write in English

• Ability to Follow Instructions Closely

• Ability to Function Effectively in a Team & Fast Pace Environment

• Ability to Work with Different Levels of Management

  Prerequisites:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

• Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)

• Strong Phone Skills/Etiquette

• SAP Experience (Preferred)
