Job Summary

This software engineering position is targeting a driven individual who is passionate about the aviation industry, strives to challenge and apply their abilities, and desires to work with a team to produce superior quality software. This individual will be involved with upgrading US DoD rotary-wing and/or fixed wing aircraft with high-tech, reliable displays.

This software engineering position is in the Government Systems Display Applications department. This job is a software position whose responsibilities will include a wide variety of tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to the following: development of high level application software for displays, development of middleware application programmer interfaces, development of low level device drivers/libraries, hardware/software integration, development on multiple on multiple operating systems using multiple languages.

Job Responsibilities

The job will include working with an array of software components including Multi Function Display (MFD) Display Manager, Control Display Unit (CDU) Display Manager, Flight Display Software Application (FDSA), Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS), Display Window Manager (DWM), and/or Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System (EICAS). These software components are used in Pro Line Fusion, Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS), Flight2, and 5ATI architectures across multiple US military and international defense applications.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline is required.

The ideal candidate should be fluent in a wide variety of programming languages and have strong background in Java or C++. This knowledge should include experience with the common Integrated Development Environments used for these languages such as Visual Studio or Eclipse. Working knowledge of Software Design Patterns and Object Oriented Design including UML is a plus. Previous experience developing real time applications, such as video games, is plus.
