What does a great SPLUNK Systems Engineer do at Fiserv?
This role is all about Splunk implementation, management, and maintenance of Splunk products and technologies at Fiserv. We are looking for a junior to mid level candidate that can perform onboarding and configure props and transforms for Splunk products.
Cross training and working with more senior level Splunk engineers is possible at Fiserv, so you can grow your career and skill set.
We need someone who can:
•Configure syslog for onboarding
•Understanding of Network Firewalls, Load-balancers, and complex network designs
•Help implement, configure, and TA’s and Apps
•Plans and conducts assignments for high priority projects and follows direction
You’ll have significant experience using Splunk on a 24x7 Global environment and have the strong ability to program in Python, Perl or Shell.
You’ll have strong Linux skills to be able to troubleshoot and support the application and be considered a self-starter by others. You’ll enjoy being able to work independently and be able to manage their time against deliverables. We need someone who has the ability to work in both Windows and Linux operating environments.
You’ll be the kind of person who can apply knowledge of monitoring architecture and sound technology principles to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions and is always looking for cutting edge technology solutions.
This is critical infrastructure for Fiserv, so we need someone who is willing and able to participate in a rotating 24x7 operations and on-call support model.
No two days will be the same and you’ll have a lot of variety while delivering on key project milestones and communicating effectively with a wide variety of people. You’ll deliver presentations of highly technical solutions for engineering and peer reviews. Most importantly, you’ll be security savvy and adhere to PCI and other industry standard security requirements.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
Bachelors Degree or high school diploma/GED
Minimum of two years hands on experience with SPLUNK
Minimum of two years in hands on experience with Unix and Windows operating systems and architecture
Minimum of two years experience in Splunk implementation, management, and maintenance of Splunk products
