Job Description

The Senior Manager, HR Analytics serves as the subject matter expert on HR reporting and analytics, and is responsible for the development and execution of the HR analytics strategy across the Electronic Systems business segment at BAE Systems, Inc.

The role will lead a team of HR analytics professionals and report directly to the Director II, HR Operations & Analytics. This position is a hybrid role based at any of our major Electronic Systems locations: Nashua, NH (and surrounding area); Cedar Rapids, IA; Huntsville, AL; Austin, TX; Fort Wayne, IN.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction to HR and the business in the areas of people metrics and reporting, including actionable insights on topics such as attrition, attraction, development, engagement and retention that support the strategic direction of the business.

  • Build and maintain easy-to-consume reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights on key metrics and trends.

  • Partner with corporate analytics and HR technology teams on new solutions, leading sector-level implementations and assessments of HR technology projects.

  • Define new and innovative approaches to evaluating & mitigating workforce trends and business challenges that mature the value of HR to the business.

  • Work closely with HR centers of expertise to understand HR processes, identify data needs, gather requirements and prioritize projects to drive improvement.

  • Develop data and analytics competencies across the HR function.

  • Oversee HR data integrity and governance.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s Degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 18 years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. BAE Systems, Inc. will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Previous experience working for a government defense contractor.

  • Experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Operations or HR Compliance leadership role supporting an organization in excess of $3B in annual sales.

  • Previous experience working for a government defense contractor.

  • This is a hybrid position with a mix of on-site and remote presence. Full-time remote will be considered with different travel expectations.

  • Proven experience serving as a coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives.

  • Business acumen, be innovative, adapt well to change and work collaboratively with strategic influence to drive initiatives across a matrixed environment.

  • Deep knowledge of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, employee relations, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational change, learning and development, and organization effectiveness).

  • Ability to develop and present senior level leaders with data-driven solutions that will effectively advance business strategies and drive change throughout their organizations.

  • Project management and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail.

  • Analytical skills to draw appropriate conclusions from data, anticipating second and third order of effects when making recommendations.

  • Strong business acumen along with analytical and logical reasoning skills

  • Proven experience serving as an advisor to leaders on data-driven approaches relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives.

  • Working knowledge of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, employee relations, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational change, learning and development, and organization effectiveness).

  • Successful track record of synthesizing actionable insights and recommendations based on robust quantitative and qualitative analyses

  • Ability to develop and present to both technical and non-technical audiences with data-driven solutions that will effectively advance business strategies and drive change throughout their organizations.

  • Project management and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools, including Tableau

  • Analytical skills to draw appropriate conclusions from data, anticipating second and third order of effects when making recommendations.
