Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLCis currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-orientedTransportation Civil Engineerwho is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success. This position can work out of ourCedar Rapids, IA,Des Moines, IA, or Milwaukee, WI location.Overcrowding, safety, and aging infrastructure – these are all challenges faced by nearly every community today. As a member of theFoth Infrastructureengineering team, you will help clients meet these challenges while minimizing impacts to the community and the environment. From airports to utilities, roads, and bridges, you will be a part of providing effective solutions that are cost-conscious and practical.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for roadway/transportation projects
Assist in the planning, design and construction administration of transportation projects
Complete feasibility studies and technical design reports
Coordinate roadway design project plans with associated utilities
Attend client project meetings, participate in proposals/presentations, manage projects, meet with regulatory agencies and serve as a client project contact
Lead, coordinate and build teamwork among other team members and disciplines at all levels
Demonstrate eagerness to learn new areas of engineering
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain license within 12 months of start date
Minimum of 4 years related experience with the following:
Urban roadway design
MicroStation/GEOPAK, including Corridor Modeling
Working with relevant permitting agencies/processes
Completing technical reports and design projects
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in urban roadway design
Previous experience with the following:
Municipal design
Urban arterial roadway design
Pedestrian/bicycle facilities design with knowledge of ADA compliance
GEOPAK Site and OpenRoads
Working in the engineering consulting industry
