Presbyterian Homes and Services Maintenance Technician - Full Time in Clive, Iowa
Presbyterian Homes & Services - Walnut Ridge is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician for its team. Walnut Ridge is a beautiful senior living community conveniently located in Clive, Iowa.
This is a full time position working primarily Monday through Friday with a rotating responsibility for after hours on-call emergencies. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Director of Environmental Services.
ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY
Walnut Ridge is a beautiful campus conveniently located near I-35/80, adjacent to the walking trails and aquatic center in Clive. It is in close proximty to several restaurants, retail shops and medical facilities. The campus is comprised of 116 independent living apartments, 44 assisted living apartments, 18 memory care assisted living apartments and a new skilled care center for 60 residents. The campus also houses an exceptional wellness center and warm water swimming pool that employees are encouraged to enjoy.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for creating a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices
Create a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.
Maintain an attractive campus appearance consistent with the PHS design intent.
Execute assigned responsibilities for buildings and grounds as defined by the site leadership.
Assignments may include:
floor care
resident moves
remodeling
painting
building maintenance
customer requests
landscape care
snow removal
pools
other projects
Demonstrated ability to perform Level I core competencies specific to job as defined by site requirements.
Able to work independently, multi task, follow directions and work under supervision.
Relate well to and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
