The Distribution Sales Manager is a unique opportunity, with the responsibility for the daily management of the distributor network in North America which requires strong account management skills and a deep understanding of coding and marking customer requirements to support Linx partners in the region to keep it moving and running efficiently.

Contribute in a significant way to the commercial team that manages channel development. The role will involve working with our main partners and to help achieve a greater market share.

In this role, the Distribution Sales Manager will be experienced in driving sale revenue and growth as a Sales Manager of a capital goods product selling into the manufacturing industry. You can demonstrate clear planning and executing of sales plans and product introduction with a clear focus on value-based selling and have a desire to move into a more senior commercial role. You will have experience in coaching sales teams and getting results through others.

Your responsibilities as a Distribution Sales Manager at Linx, include:

  • Ensure sales budget delivery through our channel partner within the defined territory

  • Increase Linx market share within coding and marking across the full portfolio of products, after markets supplies and services

  • Execute commercial excellence in account management passionate about driving growth strategies with existing partners, marketing and growing market share in defined verticals

  • Generate sales and successfully launch new products in the market, through combined activities with the Linx channel partners, targeting incremental share gain

  • Effective channel management to ensure that the channel keeps growing in line with the available market, through the deployment of regular face-to-face meetings and growth tools

  • Manage distributor performance through best in class business practice, with the Linx Channel Partner workbook and scorecard

  • Ensure operational controls are administered and monitored

  • Establish and maintain key relationships at all levels in the distribution organization, to leverage contacts and information

  • Increase channel competitiveness and strength through adequate business enablers (knowledge, skillset, focus, programs)

  • We are looking for a professional who demonstrates:

  • Achievement orientation - with the drive on delivering sales targets, focused on growth and is numerate

  • Good relationship building - building long term Channel Partner relationships based on agreed strategy and goals for both the short and longer-term

  • Impact and Influence – share best practice and drive Linx Business System tools as appropriate and maintain and grown Linx mindshare with distributor partners to achieve agreed goals

  • Strategic thinking - the ability to step back from the business and look at the bigger picture, make corrections to existing strategy and recommend ways to improve market share both locally and in the region

  • Your Background Experience will include:

  • Experience of journey planning – evidence of running a sales territory and coverage thereof

  • Technical sales in a business-to-business environment

  • Experience in selling capital equipment into the industrial market

  • Examples of good standard work and process

  • High level of organization and planning skills
