They provide all levels of design needed for the solution, they lead and mentor functional teams, and participate in the development of technically challenging portions of the solution. The ERP Architect has overall responsibility for the PP, QM, and VC modules and handles the day-to-day operations within these modules including the execution and delivery of business change requests, daily incident management, and the delivery of configuration, development, and testing for medium to large-sized projects.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:* Provides solution and architectural leadership in the areas of SAP Production Planning, Quality Management, and Variant Configuration.* Develops architectures for the implementation of new SAP modules and for the integration of SAP to non-SAP systems.* Applies their depth of knowledge and experience to the design of new functionality in the SAP solution and leads the socialization of new designs and solutions to both IT and non-IT leaders.* Performs configuration activities and fixes within the Variant Configuration, Production Planning, and Quality Management modules while keeping in mind impact on upstream and downstream systems.* Performs long-term planning that aligns with long-term business goals for areas of the ERP solution under their control. * Collaborates with Global Business Solutions to diagnose complex issues and to develop new capabilities in the IDT SAP solution.* Collaborates with the Global Business Solutions team to create and maintain the VC model including but not limited to Dependencies, Characteristics, Classes, Configuration Profile, BOMs and Route.* Understands SAP VC integration with the web and provides guidance on best approaches for integration with SAP VC.* Leads testing efforts for the modules under their responsibility and participates in unit, regression, and stress testing activities. Contributes to the development and execution of complex integrated test scripts.* Provides work direction to external consultants for project-based work.* Provides rapid resolution of production critical and customer facing issues and carries out thorough root cause analysis to ensure permanent corrective action is in place. * Defines, documents and monitors the change control process for areas under their responsibility.* Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values. * May provide work direction to other IDT associates. Education:* Bachelor's degree required.* Advanced degree is preferred.Professional Experience:* Has a minimum of 10 years of SAP experience with emphasis in the areas of Variant Configuration, Production Planning, and Quality Management.* Experience in designing and building solutions in S4/HANA.* Current hands-on experience with Variant Configuration and Production Planning including:* Variant Tables;* Variant functions;* Expertise in class items;* Creation of classes, characteristics, object dependencies, and configuration profiles;* Setting up ALE;* Troubleshooting IDocs;* Variant pricing;* MRP;* BOMs and Routes;* Experience developing solutions in VC.* Experience implementing and supporting SAP solutions that have highly-complex manufacturing operations with a high degree of product optionality is required.* Can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and has experience working with the business gathering requirements and implementing solutions.* Can demonstrate strong communication skills.* Experience in the product model change process and managing model changes post go live.* Can read and debug ABAP code; * Has worked at least 5 years in a post go-
