Collins Aerospace, in Coralville IA is seeking a Manufacturing Program Specialist (MPS) to support our Microelectronics & Process Center programs. The MPS is responsible for supporting their designated programs by coordinating the procurement, manufacturing, and delivery of products to the customer.  The MPS will work closely with various groups in their role, including Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality and Shipping. A successful candidate will have the ability to perform these roles with a positive attitude, and a team first approach that allows us to exceed our internal and external customers’ expectations. 

This role will be performed onsite at our Collins location in Coralville, IA.  

This position may be eligible for relocation

What Y OU Will Do:

  • Track and Report on critical customer deliveries using Line of Balances and Project Plans 

  • Effectively lead cross functional teams without direct authority. 

  • Work across the organization to develop project plans. 

  • Monitor progress and track project performance using metrics. 

  • Manage and Communicates material availability, resource planning, task completion, and quality performance 

  • Manage and Communicates implementation of change orders 

  • Collaborate with Production Control Support, Procurement Support, and Master Scheduling to ensure that material master data is accurate and strategic 

  • Collaborate and Communicate with Program and Engineering support 

  • Arrange for and facilitates Knowledge Exchange meetings. 

  • Capture “lessons learned” for major programs. 

  • M anage inventory policies and procedures .  

    Expectations of the role:

  • Ensure applicable policies and procedures for delivery are followed. 

  • Ensure tactical transition activities are completed by the team including: 

  • BOM reviews 

  • Validate demand plans and delivery dates 

  • Manage Product Schedule s  

  • Release and manage Production work orders to support Production start dates as well as validating that all parts were allocated correctly to the given work orders 

  • Ensure work orders are corrected in a timely manner each week to minimize aging work orders 

  • Ensure kitting of material supports the daily build plan and process adhered to. 

  • Prioritize and sequence parts on hold back into production line based on customer priority 

  • Facilitate expedited material of critical part shortages to released work orders 

  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the EHS policy and management system, the importance of conforming to EHS policies and procedures, and consequences of failing to comply with EHS policies and procedures. 

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
