Danaher Corporation Materials Planner in Coralville, Iowa

Location:

Coralville, IA - Mobile (On-Site/Work from Home Hybrid)

  • Mobile associates must live in an area that does not exceed a 100-mile (150 km) radius of an IDT location.

  • May require on-site occasional presence for team meetings, etc.

    Purpose statement:

    The Materials Planner manages global demand for multiple product families through the recommendation and implementation of replenishment strategies consistent with IDT’s strategic and business objectives.

    Essential Functions:

  • Organizes global demand among supply chain, production, supply source, and distribution entities via recommended inventory coverage attribute, demand forecast, and/or standard batch size manipulations

  • Manages material life cycle and supply source changes

  • Sustains inventory health per availability and turn targets

  • Engages with business owners to retire underperforming products and related inventory items

  • Facilitates the development of allocation plans and expedites deliveries when imbalances occur

  • Creates and maintains partnerships with internal and external supply sources

  • Proactively identifies potential supply chain disruptions

  • Manages internal supplier delivery/quality performance

  • Other duties as assigned

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or science related field from an accredited college or university required

    Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive work experience in supply chain, logistics, or purchasing functions on behalf of an organization

  • Working knowledge of SAP, or a similar tier one ERP system (e.g. Oracle), is preferred

  • Prior professional experience within an ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 certified organization preferred

  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the Microsoft suite of productivity applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Excels in a group setting and/or as part of a cross functional team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to maintain both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers.

  • Ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity.

  • Exert up to 10lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to a minimal amount frequently

  • Hearing : perceiving the nature of sounds at normal range; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when auscultating and percussing.

  • Repetitive Motion : substantial movements (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

    Occasional (33% or less of work day)

  • Standing : maintaining an upright position.

  • Walking : moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.

  • Lifting : raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

  • Bending : bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist and/or bending leg; bending legs at knee to come to rest or kneel.

  • Pushing/Pulling : using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward/using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

  • Climbing : stairs, stools, ramps, ladders.

    Visual Acuity:

  • Ability to read pertinent printed material and distinguish colors.

  • Ability to prepare and read written documentation; use of computer.
