The Senior Supervisor plans, designs, and executes activities that are directly related to the physical creation of RTX products and the functional operation of RTX facilities. Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling, and personnel. Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function. Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.

This position manages a team in Manufacturing Operations. Establishes objectives and guidelines for managing and monitoring cell performance and productivity. Directs scheduling and sequencing of work, as well as production innovation to optimize production.

This role will be performed ONSITE in our Collins Aerospace location in Coralville, IA.

What YOU Will Do:

Responsibilities:

  • Manages a team of cell leaders to ensure all Safety/Quality related items are complete and documented.

  • Directs cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

  • Directs scheduling to meet production schedules.

  • Sets the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to optimize productivity.

  • Leads materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.

  • Manages multiple cells’ performance and productivity to maximize productivity.

  • Collaborates with customers to understand needs and issues to ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services.

  • Production Manager supporting employees for Various Thru-hole automation, Pre-wave, Manual Build Assembly, Piece Part Programming, and Board Level Testing areas in facility.

  • Primary Postwave liaison for Work Transfer Programs including THAAD, ATACMS, OOPs, and Various Mission Systems and Avionics sub level production.

    Expectations of the role:

  • Ability to lead manufacturing and support staff team to produce high quality circuit cards to internal and external customers.

  • This person will lead a team of individuals in a unionized environment.

  • This person will be responsible for achieving all safety/quality/schedule/cost company objectives.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
