Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a permanent opportunity with a rapidly growing company. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare income, payroll and sales tax filings. Additionally you will be responsible for client payroll processing and bookkeeping. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Coralville, Iowa area, at a company where effort is rewarded.

How you will make an impact

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

• Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

Requirements

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Corporate Tax Return experience desired

• Earlier work involving QuickBooks Online

• Federal Tax Return experience

• Previous experience working with Microsoft Excel

• Practical knowledge of Bookkeeping Functions
