OMAHA STANDARD INC Controller in COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa

Responsibilities:Responsible for day-to-day accounting and financial activities including but not limited to AR, AP, collections, expense reports, treasury, insurance, etc.Responsible for intercompany AR and AP Responsible for month end, quarter-end and year-end closing of Omaha Standard PALFINGER Ensure that the company's financial statements are prepared on time and in accordance with PALFINGER corporate guidelines Responsible for forecasting and strategic planning processesProvide all relevant data, reports, KPI (productivity, efficiency. Performance), analysis tools supporting the management team in developing and executing the business unit strategy and making good data based business decisions Participate in a variety of projects and provide the finance perspective in day-to-day operationsDrive lean management and cost improvement initiativesCollaborate and communicate with third party and internal auditors, consultants, banking and insurance partner in a professional and courteous mannerSupport and closely cooperate with Corporate functionsDevelop and implement tools and processes to manage working capital effectivelyEnsure that adequate internal controls are in place and operating effectively Enforce and drive compliance to PALFINGER corporate governance guidelines and approval proceduresSupport management team in all processes relating to financial responsibility, operational processes and procedures, safeguarding of assets, inventory control, credit limits, risk management etc.Disciplinary and functional lead of the on-site accounting team Knowledge of payroll administration and payroll taxesKnowledge, skills and ability requirements:Strong accounting and finance backgroundBS/BA in Accounting (MBA, CPA and IFRS experience is a plus)8+ years of Accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentProven leaderPassionate and very committed entrepreneurStrong leadership skills, actively promoting our company values entrepreneurship, respect and integrityStrong mentor, build a positive team environmentExcellent communication skillsAnalytical and structuredDetail oriented and ability to prioritize tasksHighly developed problem solving and decision making skillsTechnical Skills in managing and troubleshooting:Microsoft Windows, Excel and other Office applications ERP and reporting systems (SAP)
