As a member of the Palfinger North America Region ( ), Palfinger continuously pursues our vision of being the preferred provider of truck equipment throughout North and Latin America.Palfinger is seeking strong Journeyman MIG Welder candidates familiar with manufacturing environments to join the team and work out of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It is our belief that you will join a company with a strong heritage and more importantly, a strong future.Essential Responsibilities:Mig welding skills i Weld 1/8 i 1/4 fillet bead joining 2 or more pieces of material ranging from 20 gauge to 4/8i thickness of Galvanneal, galvanized or mild (hot rolled) steel. Adjust and set Mig welder to make such a fillet bead;Maintain productivity levels consistent with the requirements for the specific part or assembly;Report to work timely and regularly as scheduled and within company attendance policy requirements;Use and read a tape measure to 1/32 inch and able to decimals to fractions and read prints, specifications and use basic hand tools for welding layout work;Inspections-receiving, in-process, final, dock audit.Physical Requirements:Work in a safe manner following safety rules and use the required safety equipment;Able to bend, reach, push, pull and put parts into positions for welding;Able to lift 60 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally from a floor or bench level to a welding table or fixture.Knowledge, skills and ability requirements:High school Diploma or Equivalent.Entry written and practical weld test requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills;1-2 years welding experience preferred;Must successfully pass basic MIG written and practical weld test before hire;Highly motivated self-starter;Team Player and iCan Doi attitude;Act professionally in any situation;Excellent work attendance required;Successful completion of criminal background check and illegal substance screening required.What We Offer:Competitive compensation and performance rewardsComprehensive Benefits package with flexible optionsOpportunity for on-going career growthEnvironment of Respect, Integrity, Openness, Inclusion and SupportThe opportunity to build strong teams, improve operations and make a big impact.Wages:$16.55-21.00/hourHours:1st Shift: 6 am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday -i(occasional Saturday based on production needs)To apply:Apply in person at 3501 South 11th Street, Council Bluffs, IA 51501 or for additional information, contact Human Resources at (712) 256-9329.
