Tri-City Electric Accounts Payable Specialist in Davenport, Iowa
T ri-City Electric Co. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for compiling financial data and maintaining accounts payable records.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Export/import invoices from pur internal system, Remarcable for large vendors
Review invoices for appropriate documentation and management approval before payment
Enters invoices and images into the accounting system
Research invoice issues and work with the purchasing department to resolve
Distribute signed checks as required
Answers vendor inquiries
Maintains accounts payable reports and spreadsheets
Assists in monthly accounts payable closings
Prepares analysis of accounts as required
Performs filing and copying
Assists in front desk coverage
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
Minimum of 2 years of accounts receivable and accounts payable experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in the following: 10-Key, Data Entry, Microsoft office: Excel, Word and Outlook
Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy, exceptional communication skills, positive initiative, and judgment, the ability to problem solve and meet deadlines, self-motivation and be organized.
This position works Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM in the Davenport, IA Office.
