Description

A client Robert Half has partnered with is looking for a talented Payroll Administrator to manage the production of accurate and timely payroll for employees, communicate effectively, and deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment.   • Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Maintain employee records, including tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and other relevant information.

  • Collaborate with HR & Accounting to ensure accurate tracking of employee time, attendance, and leave balances.

  • Verify and reconcile timecards, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports as needed.

  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll and provide exceptional customer service.

  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Assist in the implementation of payroll-related software upgrades or changes.

  • Write standard operating procedure for payroll in correlation to Paylocity software.

  • Will assist the accounting team during slow periods with general accounting tasks as needed.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator or similar role, preferably in the construction industry but open to any relevant experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and relevant compliance requirements.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in using payroll software (Paylocity preferred but any is helpful) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
